Kendra Morales has completed over 400 executive searches for venture-backed technology companies in her 23 years of executive search experience. At Candidate Labs, she oversees our client services organization.
Kendra launched her career at Hobson Associates in 1999 where she was Rookie of the Year and the youngest person ever promoted to Partner and then Senior Partner. She later joined The Millard Group where she was promoted to Associate Partner 15 months after joining and broke her own record six times for the largest fee closed in company history.
Most recently, Kendra came to Candidate Labs from Betts Recruiting, where she was hired to build out continuous training and development programs, create segment playbooks, and facilitating the overall Betts go-to-market strategy.
Kendra actively serves her community and, in 2013, founded a 501(c)3 non-profit organization For Goodness Sake which is a furniture bank in Central CT that has helped over 2,500 families coming out of homelessness/crisis get back on their feet. She also teaches yoga and meditation at a local prison.
Kendra graduated from Kent State University in 1999.
Jaycie Moller is an experienced GTM recruiter who has completed key hires for some of the most well known startups in Silicon Valley. She has worked across a variety of functions including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations. Jaycie joined Candidate Labs as one of the first recruiters and first female in the company. As a Client Partner, her focus at Candidate Labs is to help top startups make their critical “first of” hires.
She has completed searches for high-growth startups including SurveyMonkey, Bill.com, Vonage, Lever, ADP, Pilot.com, Rippling, Deel, Airbase, and OneSignal. While Jaycie started her career in technical recruiting, she quickly realized that she was most passionate about the GTM side of the business. Before Candidate Labs, Jaycie spent 3 years at TheLions, a boutique GTM recruiting firm in San Francisco. There, Jaycie quickly became the #1 producer, was promoted to a leadership role, and completed over 60 searches for both private and post-IPO companies.
Jaycie grew up in Los Angeles and attended the University of San Francisco where she graduated with a BA in Psychology. She was an active member of the Psychology Honors program and spent her senior year researching ADHD in elementary-aged students. Jaycie also worked as a stylist at Stitch Fix during college which was her first taste of the power of a tech-enabled services model - one of the many reasons she was excited about the technology at Candidate Labs. Today, Jaycie lives in San Francisco where you can find her hiking with her GSP (Frankie), figure skating, cooking, and wine tasting in Napa in her free time.
Liam Naughton is an experienced search professional who has completed C-level and VP searches for some of the highest profile companies in the technology world today. He has worked across a variety of functions with expertise in sales, marketing, technology, and finance. He joined Candidate Labs in October of 2020 to continue to expand their executive search practice while providing top notch service to their prestigious clients.
Before joining Candidate Labs, Liam spent several years with top tier boutique search firm Daversa Partners. While at Daversa, Liam completed C-level and VP searches for public and private companies in the technology space, and quickly rose through the ranks to senior associate. Based in the New York and Connecticut offices, Liam’s work expanded across the country with placements based in LA, SF, NYC, Boston, and other geographies.
Liam is based in Manhattan and grew up in Darien, Connecticut. While New York is his home today, he finds any and all excuses to go back to Vermont and spend weekends hiking in the Green Mountains. Liam is passionate about youth sports and athletics, and has helped coach multiple YMCA and travel sports organizations. While he played basketball in college, today you’re more likely to find Liam on the golf course rather than the court.
Liam graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont with a degree in history and minors in political science and religious studies.
Travis spent the first half of his career in collegiate athletics in a variety of operational and fundraising roles. This experience sparked his passion for building winning teams and highlighted the importance of putting the right talent in the best position to succeed. At Candidate Labs, Travis partners with disruptive companies to identify key executives to scale the organization.
Travis joined Candidate Labs from The Bowdoin Group where he was a leader in their digital health practice. He completed seven CEO searches and countless C-level searches across the commercial, product, and finance functions for innovative startups backed by leading venture and private equity investors.
Travis previously worked in executive search and talent attraction roles at WinterWyman and Pegasystems, a publicly traded software company. He prides himself on embedding himself with clients to truly understand their business and advising them on their most critical talent needs.
As a native Iowan, Travis combines his Midwestern work ethic and values with the pace of the East Coast. He actively serves his community and is a board member of Rebuilding Together Boston, a non-profit dedicated to providing safe and healthy housing to homeowners in need. While not working, you will find Travis cooking (and eating), traveling, quoting movies, and engaged in any sort of competition.
Travis graduated from The University of Iowa and is a hopeless Hawkeye fan.
Matt is a versatile search professional with a passion for helping high-growth technology companies (and their sponsors) identify and attract top talent. He has operated within every function of a business organization, executing searches at both the executive and mission critical non-executive leadership levels. As a Client Director, Matt hopes to continue the Candidate Labs tradition of high touch and highly successful client partnerships.
Prior to Candidate Labs, Matt spent 5 years building his foundational skill set at Signal Partners. As one of the first recruiting hires, Matt was instrumental in the Signal Partners launch and has played a major role in the company's continued success. Under the tutelage of founders with 60+ years of combined search experience, he was able to cultivate a bespoke approach that serves client relationships. Most importantly, it is at Signal Partners where Matt discovered his love for the search industry.
The son of educators, Matt brings an intellectual curiosity and a dedication to service to both his personal and professional lives.
Matt is a native Angeleno and currently resides in El Segundo, CA. He has a deep love of the arts, particularly cinema, music, and literature. When Matt isn't working, one can find him at the beach with his dog Charlie.
Lauren Howard brings to Candidate Labs a unique background of both sales and search experience. As a recruiter, Lauren has completed several key searches for high-growth SaaS startups across a variety of functions including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, HR and Operations. She has also made early placements for innovative startups including ChartHop, Codility, Airbase, Oomnitza, Conversica, ServiceChannel, Rhumbix and more.
Lauren started her career on the Sales side of the house, working her way up from an SDR role to an Account Executive and, most recently, a Regional Sales Manager. Upon joining Elevate Talent, a boutique recruiting firm based in San Francisco, she realized her sales acumen and “hunter” mentality transferred well to recruiting. While there, she was responsible for Account Management and full-cylce recruiting. She quickly became the highest-grossing recruiter on the team and was able to nearly double their client base through her business development efforts. She also established formal partnerships with GTM organizations such as Women in Revenue to help develop deeper connections across Sales & Marketing leadership. Lauren finds that her time spent in sales within startup environments similar to her clients' has enabled her to be more consultative and understanding of their needs.
Lauren is based in Pleasant Hill, California. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking new recipes, bike rides (or Peloton rides depending on the weather), reading psychology books, and wine tasting.
Emily is a top-performing recruiter with ample experience completing a variety of sales and marketing searches in the technology space. She joins us most recently from Rainier Recruiting, where she was the top-grossing recruiter for three years in a row, maintaining a record she set for highest placement throughout her entire tenure.
Katie has completed more than 100 GTM searches for early stage and venture-backed companies throughout her recruiting career. She joined Candidate Labs in September ‘20 as the first Client Manager and first Texas hire. Since joining, Katie has become a top biller and a major driver in building out the Customer Success segment at Candidate Labs.
Katie began her professional search career at Betts Recruiting where she held 4 different roles in 2.5 years as a top performer. At Betts, Katie successfully placed 91 candidates in sales positions for early stage companies and startups including Snowflake, Sprinklr, Dremio, Rubrik, PwC (InsightsOfficer) and more. At Betts, she was responsible for a territory covering half the country in secondary markets including Austin, Dallas, Houston, Denver, Atlanta, and Raleigh-Durham. Katie was also instrumental in building the team culture, helping double the Austin office in size and serving as a mentor and coach for her peers all while being responsible for her own individual quota.
Alex has spent the last decade developing talent acquisition strategies and placing top talent in high-growth VC & PE-backed technology companies. Alex joined Candidate Labs as a Client Director to bring expertise into the firm’s Go-To-Market Practice where he will be focused on high-growth technology companies.
Prior to joining Candidate Labs, he was a Senior Associate at True Search where he focused on originating and executing executive-level sales and marketing mandates for portfolio companies.
Previously, Alex was the Assistant Director of Business Development at GRT Capital Partners, an investment manager in Boston. During his tenure, Alex was responsible for client management, introducing investment opportunities and working closely with portfolio company management teams to develop and execute strategic plans including talent acquisition strategies.
He also served as an Executive Vice President of Corporate Development for the private equity group, August Enterprises. While at August, Alex led the corporate development group, providing planning, advisory, execution and integration management solutions for August on M&A, strategic investments, and joint ventures.
Outside of Candidate Labs, Alex spends his time in Connecticut and Vermont with his Australian Shepherd Mackenzie. He is a Special Olympics coach and enjoys playing golf and skiing.
Chanler has over 4 years of agency experience filling 100+ GTM positions for early stage and venture backed companies. She began her recruiting career at Betts Recruiting where she helped young sales professionals begin their careers in tech. She was constantly a top performer working in both the Mountain View and San Francisco office.
In her most recent experience, she worked at Elevate Talent where she held 3 different titles in 3.5 years finishing at a Director level. Elevate Talent is a boutique recruiting firm that partnered with venture backed startups including NewVoiceMedia (acquired by Vonage), Rhumbix, Airbase, Darktrace, and more. During her time there, she more than doubled their client base with her business development efforts while working as an Account Manager and full-cycle recruiter. Chanler was able to do this by attending multiple conferences put on by companies like Gong.io and Autodesk creating relationships with some of the Bay Area and New Yorks top Sales Managers. She has completed several key searches for high-growth SaaS startups across a variety of functions including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, HR and Operations.
Chanler is based in West Palm Beach, Florida. Outside of Candidate Labs, she enjoys boating on the weekends, cooking a Sunday dinner, and a good Netflix series.
Jordanne has spent the last 4 years in full-desk agency recruiting, leading searches and helping companies build their Sales, Marketing and Product teams.
She was introduced to the recruiting world when she joined the HR Team at AIM Consulting'. She then had the opportunity to work at Seattle Corporate Search, where she placed over 80 GTM and Product candidates for a variety of companies, a majority of them being Pre-Seed-Early stage startups. In her role at Seattle Corporate Search, she was also responsible for bringing on key accounts.
Outside of work she loves to travel and spend time with friends, family and her dog Kona. She is located in Seattle, but has gotten the opportunity to live in Huntington Beach, CA and Barcelona, Spain.
She graduated from Washington State University in 2017 with a BA in Business Management.
Julia Sipos has three years of search experience, having recruited C-suite and key opinion leaders in a variety of industries including technology, healthcare, aerospace and defense, and telecommunications. At Candidate Labs, Julia is a Talent Director responsible for partnering with the client team to identify top talent to fill GTM roles at venture-backed companies.
Julia started her career at Guidepoint Global, where she ranked within the top 10 recruiters company-wide and was quickly promoted to a Research Manager, then Project Manager. She handled up to 70 projects at once from start to finish and connected consulting clients with top-notch candidates for their strategy and diligence cases. She exceeded her monthly quota since being promoted, becoming one of the top performers at the company and especially adept at finding qualified industry experts for her client’s research needs.
Julia grew up in Westchester, New York, and now resides in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She was an avid synchronized skater and now teaches the basics of ice skating at local NYC rinks. She enjoys reading a good thriller novel, experimenting with new workout classes (the latest is hot yoga), and spending time with family and friends. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
David has 3 years of search experience working with some of the most sophisticated investment firms on Wall Street, assisting with their due diligence on new, multi-million dollar investment ideas. This involved sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and presenting high-level industry experts and C-level executives to consult on various topics across a variety of industry verticals, including TMT, Mining, Automotive, Healthcare, Consumer Goods, Financial Services, E&I , etc.
He has built a professional network of 4000+ industry- and thought leaders across some of the largest organizations in the U.S. and regularly was among the top performers in his business unit at GLG. Previously, he relocated from his hometown in Budapest, Hungary to help open and scale the first U.S. call center for Asia-based online hotel accommodation company, Agoda (NASDAQ: BKNG).
In his free time, David enjoys flying, running and calisthenics and spending time with his family in Austin, TX.
